The Society for the study of Nanoscience and Emerging Technologies (S.Net), in partnership with The Network on ethical, environmental, economic, legal and social issues regarding nanotechnology development (Ne3LS), is hosting an international conference on the following topic: From nanotechnologies to emerging technologies; towards a global responsibility. This conference offers a unique sponsorship opportunity. Designed specifically for contributors in nanotechnology and emerging technologies, it is the only conference of its kind in Canada to date.

The Society for the Study of Nanoscience and Emerging Technologies (S.NET) is an international association that promotes intellectual exchange and critical inquiry about the advancement of nanoscience and emerging technologies in society. S.NET represents diverse communities, disciplines, viewpoints, and methodologies in the social sciences and humanities. It also welcomes contributions from scientists and engineers that advance the critical reflection of nanoscience and other emerging technologies.

The mission of the Ne3LS Research Network is to participate in the advancement, sharing, and tracking of nanotechnology development. The Ne3LS Network is an initiative of the Quebec government and is supported by the Fonds de Recherche du Québec (FQRNT, FQRSC, FRSQ), the Ministère de l’Économie, de l’Innovation et des Exportations (MEIE), Prima Québec, and the Institut de Recherche Robert-Sauvé en Santé et en Sécurité au travail (IRSST). The Ne3LS Network is based at the Université Laval in Quebec City.


All sponsors will be acknowledged on the website of the S.Net International Conference 2015. Choice of sponsorship packages includes podium opportunities, complementary conference registrations, booth space to display materials, and more. Prominent recognition is included in onsite signage and in the conference program which will be distributed to all participants and posted on the S.Net International Conference 2015 website.

The Ne3LS Network is an initiative of the Quebec government and is supported by the Fonds de recherche du Québec (FQRNT, FQRSC, FRSQ), the Ministère du Développement économique, de l’Innovation et de l’Exportation (MDEIE), NanoQuébec, and the Institut de recherche Robert-Sauvé en santé et en sécurité au travail (IRSST).

This initiative is the fruit of consultations with key researchers, primarily in the human and social sciences. The Ne3LS Network will serve as an exchange platform between the various players in nanotechnology (basic, clinical, and social scientists; government; industry; and the public).
